Yoga is a form of exercise which integrates movement with breath to bring about general wellbeing. It improves flexibility, strength and has an overall calming effect. It detoxifies the body when practised in conjunction with a good eating plan and will accelerate fat burning. It is also great for relieving back pain and excess tension. Our yoga classes are facilitated by expert instructors who are able to develop individualized programs to meet our client needs. By keeping numbers small our classes can be tailor made to meet each group requirements, from beginners right through to advanced levels.
Mindfulness involves paying attention “on purpose”….the intentional, accepting and non-judgemental focus of one’s attention on the emotions, thoughts and sensations occuring in the present moment. Mindfulness meditation is a western, non sectarian, re-search based form of meditation derived from a 2500 year old Buddhist practice called Vipassana or Insight Meditation. Consistent daily practice promotes the development of stability, inner calmness, and non-reactivity of the mind. In turn, this allows us to face and embrace both the pleasant, unpleasant, and even painful aspects of daily life. Mindfulness can assist with stress management, anxiety, depression and enhance your health and wellbeing.
No prior knowledge is required for you to participate in our meditation classes. Our classes are small in size, and delivered by expert facilitators in a calm, nurturing and peaceful environment.
