Chrissy is a Registered Psychologist at the Vital Health and Wellbeing Centre. She has completed degrees in psychology, applied science, and clinical trials research. Chrissy is currently completing her PhD in psychology at Charles Sturt University, researching implicit biases towards people with disability in the workplace.
Chrissy has an interest in working with people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, and other life stressors. She also has an interest in working with people who have a disability, chronic health conditions or who are neurodivergent. Chrissy has lived experience of disability herself and this has shaped her practice to be affirming and focused on a person’s strengths.
Chrissy can provide assessments and reports including diagnostic assessments for Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, intellectual functioning, and adaptive functioning. She can provide reports for NDIS, education and support plans, and court reports.
Chrissy uses a variety of evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)mindfulness-based therapies, interpersonal psychotherapy, trauma-informed and somatic therapies. Chrissy is also a qualified Yoga Teacher and trained in Trauma Sensitive and Yin Yoga.
Chrissy can provide services under Medicare, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Work Development Orders (WDO), and private health insurance.
